BRIGHT Trial: Brushing RemInder 4 Good oral HealTh

Carlton Bolling has been asked to be part of a national research study aiming to improve Year 7 and 8 students` oral health. As a school we feel it is important to be involved in this study because where tooth decay is common in young people it often leads to toothache, loss of sleep, problems eating and time away from school. Absence from school impacts on a students learning and subsequent attainment and therefore future prospects of our students. Dr Peter Day from the University of Leeds school of Dentistry launched the research project with year 7 and 8 students in assemblies last week.
