Results days 2016 proved to be extremely exciting and rewarding for students and staff, with a greater number of students than ever before achieving record grades at both GCSE and A Level.
There were some outstanding performances this year as a result of the hard work and dedication of our students, who fully deserved their fantastic achievements. Notable once again is the outstanding performance in maths with an incredible 0.55 Progress 8 score! Overall, subject to verification, the school as a whole came out with a 0.24 Progress 8 score, well above national average of 0 and representative of a ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’ school.
We are delighted to welcome a record number of students to Carlton Bolling Sixth Form who have recently moved into their new dedicated Post-16 Centre close to the main school. They have a range of brand new classrooms, study and eating facilities with a specialist team of staff who are able to support in their learning, university applications and offer pastoral guidance. The new centre will be led by Mr Laher and all are looking forward to the opening of the new classrooms in October.
