Transition

The Transition Team

We are delighted that you have chosen to join Carlton Bolling.

Carlton Bolling has a thorough and comprehensive transition programme for all children moving up from primary school. We understand that starting secondary school can be very exciting yet, a little daunting experience for many students.  Our staff understand this and work closely with primary schools to make the move as smooth as possible.

The school website has a wealth of important and useful information, so please take the opportunity to look around.

Your child will be supported by visits by our staff to primary schools and visits for year 6 students to Carlton Bolling. Some students will need more support than others and will normally be identified by their primary school. However, if you have any questions or queries you can direct these to the head of year for year 7 after the summer.

The transition day is on the 3rd of July and this will incorporate a tour of the school and organising many aspect of the transition to secondary school. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet with the Head of School and gain an understanding of our academies’ vision.

Paper work and further information will be sent out during the first week of July after the summer half term holidays. There will also be further updates to this webpage.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
