Homework

At Carlton Bolling, we believe that homework is an integral part of the learning process for our students.
Homework reinforces learning that has taken place during school time, and develops independence and resilience. Homework also improves revision habits that are important in preparation for examinations and promotes self-discipline as the responsibility of needing to meet deadlines will impact school work and beyond.
Research from the Education Endowment Foundation tells us that students who regularly complete homework, make high levels of progress.

We all have our part to play in this, and have the following expectations:
• Parents/carers will encourage and support their child with homework tasks.
• Teachers will provide regular opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom.
• Students will be independent by completing homework and coursework or project work including reading outside of school.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
